    Katharina Gerlach

  • Katharina studied Biochemistry at the University of Frankfurt and joined the group in 2011 for her diploma thesis to analyze the regulation of FUBP1 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. During her PhD thesis, Katharina was focusing on the characterization of FUBP1 as a hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) self-renewal factor. Currently, she is working as a postdoc on the regulation of target genes by FUBP1 in HSCs.

    Van Thanh Hoang

  • Van studied biology in Heidelberg and did her PhD under the supervision of Professor Anthony D. Ho in the university hospital of Heidelberg. She worked with stem cells in patients with acute myeloid leukemia and was able to identify and characterize healthy hematopoietic and leukemia stem cells based on their different ALDH activity. After finishing her PhD, she continued working as a postdoc in the same lab and focused on the CD44 mediated rolling of the stem cells in order to study their interaction with the niche. Van joined the Krause and Zörnig group since August 2016 and is currently working on functions of FUBP1 in leukemia.

    Viktoria von Manstein

  • Viktoria studied Biology at the University of Hohenheim and joined the group of Bernd Groner for her PhD thesis in 2011. Her project involved the analysis of direct and tyrosine kinase inhibitor-mediated STAT3 inhibition in breast cancer and glioma cells. In 2016, she joined Martin's group as a postdoc to analyze chemotherapy resistance in liver organoid cultures.
